James "Jimmy" A. Grimm, age 55, a resident of Naperville, IL for 26 years, died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009 at his home due to complications from liver disease. He is survived by his wife, Carol, nee Suchomel Grimm of 32 years; his mother, Ann B., nee Ziberna, Grimm; brother, Dennis (Bonnie) Grimm; nieces and nephews, Mike (Jen) and Andy Grimm, Rob, Jaclyn and Kristen Suchomel, Mark Jr., Ryan, Chris and Emma Suchomel; brother and sister-in-laws, Dr. John R. Suchomel and Mark A. (Lisa) Suchomel, Sr.; and his loving dog, Bentley. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred A. Grimm and brother, Bob Grimm. Jimmy grew up in Lyons, was a graduate of Morton West High School, and achieved a Masters of Science degree at Northern Illinois University. He worked as an Associate Professor at NIU and later worked in Human Resources for several companies. Jimmy was very proud to complete three Chicago Marathons (2000, 2001 and 2005) and many long bike rides for charity and numerous community activities. Jimmy was a tireless fundraiser for the American Liver Foundation, Illinois Chapter and was a proud recipient of his wife Carol's living donor gift of a portion her liver in 2004.
