April 7, 1954 - Februay 14, 2023  

 It is with a heavy heart to announce the passing of James S Ondracek (Jim) Tuesday February 14th peacefully in his sleep. Jim was a Loving husband to Diane Ondracek (nee Moore), father to Melody Ann Ondracek, Carol Lee Lesak (Mike), Mike Franco (Kim), & Jeff Franco. Jim had 10 grandchildren, JJ Franco, Thomas Weidemann, James Mauzey, Maddie Chavez (Hunter), Anna Weidemann, Anthony Franco, Carter Weidemann, Malakai Ondracek, Jayden Franco & Lillian Weidemann & 2 Great grand children Emma Sinclair & Jeremiah Mauzey.

To say music was a huge part of Jim's life is an understatement. As you can see he loved music so much he even named his daughters Melody & Carol. Jim loved playing his grandpas violin & taught himself to play many other instruments throughout the years. He could play by ear and was even partially deaf in one ear due to a childhood accident. His wife and him would attend different music shows & Jim would regularly be asked to come up and play. He absolutely loved playing when asked! Music was very close to his heart & ALWAYS was a part of his life. Next to music He loved old cars & made many friends attending car shows. One hobbie he had was fixing old car clocks & eventually turned that hobbie into a small business fixing not only car clocks, but all clocks. 

If anyone needed a helping hand with anything and he was able to help he would. He loved helping people and was always someone that you could count on to do so. Never asking for anything in return nor expecting it. 

The family would like to thank everyone that has reached out in this difficult time. A celebration of life will be held at Belmont Bible Church 5430 Belmont Rd Downers Grove 60515 on Saturday March 11th at 1pm. All are welcome to attend.
