Michael A. Wiet, age 71, of Woodridge, passed away June 7, 2026. Mike colored our world with love, kindness, generosity and dad jokes. Best friend, teammate and husband to Carole Wiet for 49 years. Extraordinary father to Landon (Whitney) Wiet and Skyler Wiet. Best dog dad to Rosie and dog grandpa to Elsa and Bella. Only son of Marlene and Stan Wiet. Mike had a passion for technology and a deliberate teaching style. He loved home, floating on hot days, hot tub nights, cards with friends, Christmas, Popular Science, and golf. Mike's absence will be felt by those who loved him most, his wife, children, Carole's sisters and brother, and Mike's chosen family. Go, Cubs, go!
